KBK HISTORY
est. 2015
The Kleinschmidt Basketball Kamp (KBK) was founded by Coach Dalton Kleinschmidt with a simple mission: to provide young athletes with an opportunity to grow their basketball skills while developing confidence, discipline, and character.
What began as a passion for teaching the game has grown into a respected training experience for student-athletes across Southern Minnesota. Serving boys and girls in grades 4–12, KBK was built on the belief that basketball is more than just a sport—it’s a platform to teach life lessons, build relationships, and inspire the next generation.
Through years of camps, clinics, and skill development sessions, KBK has created a high-energy, encouraging environment where athletes can learn fundamentals, compete, and most importantly, enjoy the game. The kamp emphasizes individual skill development, teamwork, and a positive mindset—values that extend far beyond the court.
Today, KBK continues to grow its impact, bringing together players from across the region each summer and throughout the year, all united by a shared love for basketball and a commitment to getting better.
